Sex can come with unpleasant and painful surprises at times, while it is something you can enjoy you may also experience some unpleasant side effects. “Soreness and redness are common, especially if you and your partner were a bit rough, but sometimes, you may experience swelling”.
If you are the type that always have swollen vag!na after s3x and you keep wondering the cause, wondering if something is wrong it may be nothing actually and it may be something serious, it depends on the severity of your vag!na swelling.
Below are common causes for swollen vag!na and how to take care of it.

Rough Sex: One of the major causes of swollen vag!na is friction, rough s3x can cause irritation which may lead to swelling. “In the heat of the moment, you may not even realize that you’re being a bit too rough, you may also experience swelling if you weren’t lubricated enough during s3x”. The swelling should disappear within some hours or maximum a day but if it extends more than that something else might be wrong and you might need to see a doctor for prescription.

Arousal: Some women do have swollen vag!na when they are aroused, when they are in the mood for s3x their vag!nal area naturally gets wet and swells. The swelling can last till after s3x and if the s3x is rough the combination can make the swelling more intense. “Inflammation from arousal should only last a few hours or days at most. If swelling persists and you experience other symptoms, like pain or itching, see your doctor right away”.

Vag!nal infection or STD: If rough s3x and arousal are not the cause of your swelling, a vag!nal infection may to blame, vaginitis or a yeast infection can cause swelling, although discharge (vaginitis) and itching (yeast infection) are more common symptoms”.

Allergies: “If you have swollen vagina lips after s3x, allergies may be the cause, some women are allergic to semen, which can cause swelling”. Even though this may sound strange but it really do happen, some women are allergic to sp3rm, “if the swelling happens every time you have s3x, it may be an allergy to semen, also known as human seminal plasma protein hypersensitivity, this type of allergy can cause mild swelling and itching, but some women have severe reactions that require a hospital visit”. This swelling can also be caused by been allergic to somethings which might include lubricants, condoms etc used during s3x.
