Warning signs of tonsillitis
Tonsillitis is a medical condition where the tonsils become inflamed. The condition is mostly caused by a viral infection but sometimes, it can also be caused by a bacterial infection. The tonsils are two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat which helps to fight germs and acts as a barrier therefore trapping germs that would otherwise cause infections in the airways. When the tonsils become infected, they trap the infection and stop it from spreading further to other parts of the body.
