Every living person is a vibrant embodiment of a designed purpose and destiny — a walking, breathing, speaking organism that has been set on a path to fulfill a specific goal during its existence. Though we all might have different purposes and destinies, there is something every destiny-driven person shares with another — a pulse! Of course, your pulse signifies the thumping of your heart. However, it does far more than that. Your pulse signifies that your entire body is being fed everything it needs to survive and thrive. There are several places throughout your body that allow you to feel the pulse of your heart. Birds are absolutely fascinating creatures. Though we know their feathers enable them to fly, we don’t know everything behind why they are able to fly. Had we known everything, I’m sure some individual would have constructed an apparatus that would give each of us the ability to fly without the use of airplanes. Seeing that man is still walking and not singularly populating the skies, I’m led to believe that we’ve not yet cracked the code behind the phenomenon of flight. Most people who have a destiny were inspired by someone, no matter the field they are in. If it’s football, you can choose a person to whom you can compare yourself from an increasingly large group of athletes. Are you a writer? Who do you believe is a type and shadow of your life’s story? What about film? Does the life and process of Steven Spielberg speak to who you believe you are? No matter the vocation, we all have people we look up to. There was one such Biblical character who not only studied the life of his predecessor, but was in direct contact with him — Joshua. Joshua was Moses’ right-hand man. Joshua saw just about everything Moses ever did. From parting the Red Sea to getting water out of a rock, Joshua was right there, witnessing how God channeled His power through a mere man. Take a look at all the people around you. If you look closely enough, you will see the people who aspire to be more and are actually doing something about it. Now, if you can peer just a bit closer at this group, you will see what lies beneath the surface. Most notably, you will see two underlying categories in which these people fall. You will see the people who have their hands in everything, trying to make something work. Opposite that group, you will see another group of people who are focusing on one thing — their gift. Have you ever wondered, “If God is always with me on the road to destiny, why in the world is the journey so difficult?” If you are anything like other people who have discovered their purpose and are actively pursuing it, that question must have occurred to you by now. Though the question is asked by people of destiny the world over, God never promised any of us that the road would be easy. In fact, He anticipated the difficulty of your journey and is using it for your benefit. Let me explain. First, let’s understand something people often gloss over: Your destiny is planned. It’s yours and belongs to no one else. Only you can achieve it, and no one else can take you there. You must trust God’s guidance and leading on the road to your purpose. Good Morning! When you worship, you connect! You’ll never see what you’re designed to be until you CONNECT! When the Word speaks of submitting to your husband, its an analogy of the way we should submit to Christ (Ephesians 5:19-27). The Lord is waiting for you to connect to Him to an intimate way - you have to get to a place in your relationship with Him where you too have a desire to connect to Him intimately (Psalm 27:4). Through your connection to Him in worship, you will begin to have clarity in so many aspects of your life and get to a place where you are taking divine destiny steps toward the plan and purpose He has for your life (John 15:4-6). Connecting with God in worship does not mean that every thing you ask Him for will be granted to you immediately - as in every relationship, you must be patient (Romans 8:25).
